About Us
We're BEDROCK 3D
Over the past few years, we’ve been on a remarkable journey filled with growth, challenges, and valuable lessons. Along the way, we’ve built strong relationships and firmly established our portfolio within the world of 3D printing. This foundation inspired the creation of our brand, BEDROCK 3D.
The word bedrock literally means “foundation” and that’s exactly what we strive to be, now and in the future: a solid partner for your business, providing prime-quality filaments for reliable 3D prints.

Looking Back, Moving Forward
OCTOBER 2025
Founding BEDROCK 3D
In June 2025, Stratasys acquired parts of Forward AM GmbH (German Entity), which meant that in Emmen, we once again found ourselves taking a new path. This time, though, from a different starting point. It became clear that we needed a new product name so we created something new, something truly our own. A strong, independent brand, with us firmly back at the helm.
That’s why Forward AM Technologies Netherlands B.V. proudly launched its new brand: BEDROCK 3D.
2024
Forward AM
In 2023, BASF decided to sell 3D Printing Solutions to refocus on its core business. By mid-2024, that transition was complete. As a team, we continued under the Forward AM name, a period with many challenges.
With Forward AM Technologies Netherlands B.V., we continued operations as an independent entity and steadily carried on with our work.
2020
BASF Forward AM
The former Innofil3D became part of BASF 3D Printing Solutions, continuing under the name BASF Forward AM. The headquarters were set up in Heidelberg, Germany, with additional locations in the Netherlands, France, the US, and China. The team kept growing, driven by a clear goal: to become a global provider of industrial 3D printing solutions, offering printing services and materials for every major 3D printing technology. Including powders, resins, and filaments.
In Emmen, we kept doing what we do best: developing and producing prime-quality filaments.
2017
Innofil3D BASF
In the years that followed, Innofil3D kept investing in new products and expanding its production capacity. The international customer base, mainly made up of printer manufacturers and distributors, continued to grow steadily. By 2017, Innofil3D had reached a point where it caught the attention of potential buyers. That same year, the company was acquired by BASF and became part of BASF New Business.
SEPTEMBER 2013
Innofil3D
Back in 2013, Jeroen Wiggers started Innofil3D BV as a spin-off from Applied Polymer Innovations. A team focused on developing and applying polymer filament technology.
The goal was simple: to create, produce, and supply prime-quality 3D printing filaments for FFF Additive Manufacturing (or just 3D printing, as we all know it).
