BEDROCK 3D strengthens its foundation with a strategic Dutch investor
We've taken a step we're genuinely proud of and very happy about. After going independent last year, we can now share that BEDROCK 3D has a Dutch investor on board.
With their long-term capital commitment, our financial foundation is now secured – giving us back the stability that you've come to expect from us. On top of that, we're going to strengthen our foundation further: doing what we already do, but better. Developing materials that are reliable and of prime quality - filaments that simply work in practice. We remain true to who we are, and that's working well.
This is also the logical moment to change our company name from Forward AM Technologies Netherlands B.V. to BEDROCK 3D B.V. We will remain the same legal entity which you are used to dealing with. Same company, same people. More to come soon.
Who are we partnering with?
819 Capital Partners is an Dutch investment firm managing multiple funds with targeted investement strategies, combining venture capital, private equity, and deep expertise in corporate finance. Through its 819 Private Equity Fund, the firm invests in established companies with growth potential, focusing on sectors such as technology, healthcare, and leisure. With a hands-on approach and an emphasis on sustainable value creation, 819 Capital Partners supports companies in their next phase of growth. That hands-on, involved approach fits well with our mentality. Within the organization, we're part of NovioScan, the group that brings together 819 Capital's 3d printing-focused tech companies. This also includes our customer and partner, Insolution.
This is also how 819 Capital Partners became part of our story. Insolution specializes in medical insoles and developed its own 3D printer and software for this purpose: we’ve worked with them for quite a few years as their material and knowledge partner, with Foaming TPU as the material used for the printed insoles. This step is therefore a logical and strategic outcome of an existing collaboration.
With Insolution and BEDROCK 3D both supported by 819 Capital Partners, the group now has everything in house for a complete solution in 3D printing for specific applications: with all knowledge, materials, and technology combined, we see substantial opportunities ahead. We are working on new 3D printing systems for the future, which will perfectly fit dedicated applications other than medical insoles.
What makes this partnership with 819 Capital Partners such a natural fit is the long-term vision. Their evergreen structure, an investment model with no fixed exit horizon, means there's no pressure for quick changes or a future forced sale, but offers room to stabilize first and then grow and improve in a controlled way. That's exactly how we want to continue developing BEDROCK 3D.
What does this mean for our customers and partners?
For our partners, this means first and foremost a return to the continuity and reliability you know from us - and the ability to secure that for the long term. We're building on the foundation that's already there: consistent product quality, a return to stable short lead times, clear communication, and a partnership focused on the long term.
And beyond that: much more room to truly collaborate, develop, and keep improving - together with the people who matter most to us: our customers and partners.
We're proud of what we've been able to build with BEDROCK 3D so far, and grateful for the relationships we've developed with you over the years - relationships we've been able to count on, even when things got harder. We're very aware that your trust in us and our products is what brought us to where we are today.
Our direction stays the same: with the same people, from the same location in Emmen, and an unchanged portfolio: accessible, involved, reliable, and focused on collaboration. We look forward to continuing business with you and building a secure future together.
